A loud thump sounded through the forest, waking a gryphon from his slumber. Angry mumbling followed as lightning struck and thunder sounded shortly after. The gryphon rose to his feet, squinting through the trees to find the source of the noise; his eyes locking onto a pink form between the trunks. She unfurled her wings, shaking the water from them and hitting the trees around her in the process. She quickly folded them back close to her body before sighing and sitting where she stood, the rain continuing to pelt her as it fell. Bongo rose, dropping to the ground from his dry perch in a tree and walked in his lurching way towards the creature in distress. He immediately regretted doing so, remembering how much he hated walking and why he chose to stay in the treetops more often than not. He grumbled to himself as he hopped along, cursing his missing limb.
She was facing away from him, looking toward the sky although it was dark enough there really wasn't much to see. "Are you alright?" Bongo asked, raising his voice to be heard over the rain. She jumped, quickly pivoting to face him, eyes wide. "Oh! I didn't realize anyone was nearby," she said, her breathing altered from fright. "Yes, I'm okay." She looked toward the sky once again, squinting as the rain rushed into her face. She sighed, shaking her head and sending the raindrops away. "Here -- c'mon," he said as he turned and started to walk in his lop-sided way. He heard her jump to her feet behind him and quickly follow, stumbling after him. She was a clumsy thing, tripping over roots and catching the edges of trees. He slowed as they came to a clearing where a few trees had fallen against each other, creating a makeshift shelter from the rain. Not realizing he had stopped, she bumped into him. Quickly apologizing and then jumping backward into a tree and causing the rain that had gathered on the leaves to cascade down around her. She jumped away again, startled and breathing heavily as she shivered in the cold. "Are you sure you're...alright?" He asked, pausing briefly as she looked at him, her eyes catching the light and he realized that she couldn't see at all. "Ye-yeah, I'm fine," she said, walking slowly underneath the trees and quickly collapsing to the ground with a sigh once she could no longer feel the rain on her back. He settled himself under a nearby tree where little rain could get to him, deciding to stay and make sure no more harm came to her. "Thank you for helping me," she said, stifling a yawn as she did. "What's your name?" "Bongo," he replied in equal manner, shifting into a more comfortable position. "I'm Wren," she offered, her voice soft as she drifted to sleep. |
WREN x BONGO |
Hanansi is very independent and likes to go off on his own. He loves to explore and his favorite place to be is wandering through caves or other interesting areas. He is fascinated by caverns and would never leave if he didn't have to! He is very quiet -- a trait he gets from his father -- however it is a calm, inquisitive quiet rather than a brooding and angry one.

AKARA (grenada) owned by Toucat! Akara lives for the ocean; of the sound of the waves and the smell of the salt. Naturally inclined to move south in colder months of the year, she moves down to Grenada where she soaks up the sun and lounges in the warm water. Akara is a very laid back bird and will always do things the easy way to avoid spending more time on something than she has to. Some call her lazy, but she's definitely anything but ! She gets things done quickly and efficiently in order to lounge in the hot sands as fast as she can.

Ezio is the youngest of the litter; he can be very unsure of himself sometimes and is somewhat self conscious. He is very much a follower rather than a leader, he doesn't have an authoritative bone in his body. He loves to lay out on the beach and maybe pick some seashells while he just relaxes. He also likes to sit at the top of the water and watch the fish swim around below him.

Nyoka is quite free-spirited. She loves to fly, much like both her parents. She loves to pick flowers and wear them, and then she'll fly and watch them fall back to the ground, sometimes even circling back around a catching them before the make it all the way there. She is very curious and loves to learn new things. Some of her siblings have called her one of the smartest of the group -- even if she can be a bit airheaded sometimes.

Arjen, or RJ as he likes to be called, is very fun and playful. He doesn't take hardly anything seriously and is always having a good time. He loves to be happy and often just goes with the flow. He doesn't ever plan ahead and is always up for anything. He loves to try new things and is almost always the first to volunteer for things.

She loves windy days and likes to wear her scarf so that it will ripple through the air. She almost always has a smile on her face or is in a rather contented mood. She hardly ever lets anything get her down and always tries to be the optimistic one.

Ivelisse loves to listen; to the sounds of the ocean, the creatures of the land, to someone who needs someone else to talk to. She is always willing to lend an ear. She is also very quiet and modest, and will often be mistaken for the shy child of the group; which is only true sometimes. She is very passionate about what she loves and never does anything half-heartedly.

Kasen is very artsy and absolutely loves to paint. He is very messy though and will often be seen with paint in his fur. He is very creative and sometimes once he gets an idea he will run off to start it! He can be very scatter brained and almost never finishes a project. He is also very modest and although his siblings love his paintings, he keeps most of them hidden.

Eliasen can be quite mysterious; he almost always has a mischievous glint in his eyes. Much like his brother Kasen, he loves to be creative and is a wonder with a paintbrush. Although, most of his paintings tend to have a eerie feel to them. Also unlike his brother, he tends to be very proud of his paintings and loves to show them off, however his siblings do not share his enthusiasm.
